Subprocessors

This page lists the organisations involved in running Nella, and what each does. It is the list referred to in our Privacy Policy and in our Data Processing Addendum.
They fall into two groups, and the distinction matters:
- Subprocessors (section 1) process personal data on our instructions, under contract with us. We remain responsible to you for what they do.
- Channel platforms (section 2) are third-party services you choose to connect. They are not our subprocessors. They decide independently how they handle your account, prompts and conversation history, under their own agreement with you.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. AI subprocessors engaged directly by Nella are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their general-purpose models.
1. Subprocessors
These providers process personal data on our instructions, under contract, and are involved in delivering Nella to every customer.

2. Channel platforms (not subprocessors)
These platforms are involved only if you choose to connect Nella to them. Connecting is your choice and you can disconnect at any time.
They are not acting as our subprocessors. Nella sends the results you asked for to the platform so it can display them; from that point the platform independently determines how it handles your account, your prompts, your conversation history and the results shown to you, under its own agreement with you. We do not instruct it and are not responsible for it.

When you use Nella inside a third-party assistant or messaging app, what that platform does with the resulting conversation is governed by its own privacy policy, not ours. We have no control over it.
3. Your accounting software
Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage and FreeAgent are not our subprocessors. They are your own providers, under your own agreement with them. Nella reads from them in read-only mode using the permissions you approve at connection, and never writes to your books. You can revoke that access at any time from your accounting software or from your Nella settings.
4. Optional UK accounting services
If you are in the United Kingdom you may separately choose to engage AccTek Ltd, an independent UK accountancy practice, for regulated accounting and advisory services. AccTek is not a subprocessor of Nella. It is a separate company acting as its own controller under its own terms and privacy notice, and we share your data with it only if you choose to engage it. Nella itself is not an accountancy practice.
5. Changes to this list
We publish a new subprocessor on this page at least 30 days before it begins processing personal data, as committed in clause 6.3 of our Data Processing Addendum. To receive that notice by email as well, write to privacy@nellafinance.co.uk and we will add you to the notification list.
If you object to a new subprocessor on reasonable data protection grounds within 30 days of that notice, we will work with you in good faith to find an alternative, and if we cannot you may terminate the affected part of your subscription without penalty and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused term.
