Monthly management accounts
The pack a finance director would put in front of you, built every month from your own books.
What is monthly management pack?
Nella builds a monthly management pack from your accounting data: profit and loss for the month, your balance sheet position, a set of headline KPIs, the movements that explain what changed since last month, and anything unusual worth a second look. The figures are calculated in code; the explanation around them is written in plain English so the pack reads like a summary rather than a report you still have to interpret.
What sits behind the number.
Figures first
Every number in the pack is calculated deterministically from your ledger. The same books always produce the same figures.
Then the explanation
Once the figures exist, they are written up in plain English — what moved, by how much, and against what comparison.
KPIs that matter
Cash runway, gross margin, net margin, debtor days and current ratio, each shown with its own basis.
What changed
Month-on-month movements at line-item level, so a jump in one cost is visible rather than buried in a total.
What it does not do
Stated plainly, because a figure you can trust is one whose limits you know.
- The pack reports what is recorded in your accounting software. If invoices are unentered or the bank is behind, the pack reflects that — and says so rather than presenting incomplete books as complete.
- It is a management pack, not statutory accounts. It is not filed with Companies House or HMRC and is not prepared under FRS 102 or FRS 105.
- How much detail is available varies by accounting platform. See the supported-platform table.
Only derived figures are stored — KPIs, headline numbers, anomalies. Raw report rows are not retained, and the access token used to read your ledger is never persisted alongside them.
Nella provides financial information and education, not accounting or tax advice. Nella shows you the numbers; a qualified accountant at AccTek advises you on them. When a question needs professional judgement, Nella points you to the team.
Where the data comes from
Nella connects read-only to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent. It cannot create, edit or delete anything in your books. How deeply it reads varies by platform — see the supported-platform table — and how your data is handled is set out in full.
