What is Nella?
Nella is an AI finance assistant for UK businesses. It connects read-only to live Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or FreeAgent data and answers plain-English questions about your own numbers — cashflow and runway, tax and VAT dates, profit and KPIs. It also builds a monthly management pack, flags anomalies, and tracks your Nella Score, a finance health check.
Why Nella exists
Most small businesses get their numbers late. The accounts arrive months after the year has closed, by which point the cash decision, the pricing decision or the hiring decision has already been made — usually on instinct, because the figures were not there when they were needed.
Nella was built to close that gap. It connects to the ledger a business already keeps, and answers questions about it in plain English, at the moment the question is asked rather than at year end. The aim is not to replace the judgement of a qualified accountant. It is to make sure the owner walks into that conversation already knowing what their numbers say.
Who builds Nella?
Nella Finance AI Ltd is the UK software company that develops Nella, an AI finance assistant for UK businesses. Founded by Godwin Pinto, ACA (ICAI).
Nella Finance AI Ltd develops the Nella software. Accounting, tax and advisory services are provided separately by AccTek Ltd under a separate engagement. AccTek Ltd is an ICPA member firm, AML-supervised by HMRC. The two are separate companies: when a question needs professional judgement, Nella points you to a qualified accountant, and that work is engaged with AccTek Ltd directly, under its own terms.
Nella provides financial information and education, not accounting or tax advice.
Every business that connects gets a Nella Score, a 0–100 finance health check calculated from its own figures.

How Nella is built
Three commitments shape the product, and each one is checkable rather than aspirational.
Read-only, by permission. Nella asks your accounting provider only for read permissions. It cannot post, edit or delete anything in your books, and the boundary is enforced by the provider rather than by Nella’s own code. See exactly what Nella reads.
Information, not advice. Nella shows, tracks, flags and explains. It does not tell you what to do. Where a decision needs professional judgement — a tax position, a structure, a filing — Nella points you to a qualified accountant instead of guessing.
Your data is yours. It is held in the UK, never used to train AI models, and you can delete all of it at any time. Read the trust centre.
